U.S. sports betting expected to expand

Placing a LEGAL bet on sports in the U.S. was once limited to casinos in Las Vegas and a few other cities.

That all started to change in 2018 when the U.S. Supreme Court overturned a 1992 ban.

Now 34 states and Washington, D.C. have legalized some form of sports betting, including betting online and with mobile apps.

More states are expected to follow in the coming months.
