Some U.S. airlines find unapproved engine parts

Airlines worldwide are checking their planes after potentially faulty engine parts from simple nuts and bolts to critical turbine blades were installed on some of their jets. The sale was brokered with counterfeit documents by a small British supply company, AOG Technics, which has declined to comment. The spare parts were found in more than 100 aircraft, including several U.S. carriers.
