FAA grounds over 100 Boeing 737 MAX jets

World Today

The U.S.’s Federal Aviation Administration says 171 Boeing 737 MAX jets will remain grounded pending further inspections.

This comes after an exit door panel blew off in-flight on an Alaska Airlines plane on Friday. Officials say the missing part was found in someone’s backyard.

Nobody was seriously injured in the air or on the ground, but the incident has raised safety concerns for Boeing.
