Middle East aid threatened after governments suspend pay to UNRWA

Fears are mounting as the United Nations aid agency in the Middle East, the UN Relief and Works Agency might have to close down in the coming days due to funding pauses.

Major donor countries like the U.S. and Germany suspended payments, pending the results of a UN probe into allegations that around 12 UNRWA staff members participated in the October 7th Hamas attacks on Israel.
