Facing rising temperatures and soaring electricity prices, a Rio de Janeiro women-led NGO has launched its first solar energy project in partnership with a network of socio-environmental activists. The goal is to cut costs, empower women, and increase awareness about the benefits of solar power in poor communities. CGTN’s Lucrecia Franco reports from Rio de Janeiro.
