Hundreds were stranded in California’s iconic town of Big Sur, after a chunk of the iconic Pacific Coast Highway collapsed into the ocean following the latest storm to hit the state this year.

Governor Gavin Newsom has previously announced California’s plans to deal with water resilience and climate adaptation, at a time that marks the state’s wettest winter on record.
