Tensions between New York City law enforcement and undocumented migrants continue to mount – with scuffles making national headlines.

New York is one of several sanctuary cities across the U.S., which limits its cooperation with the federal government in enforcing immigration law.

But city officials say those accused of breaking the law are not welcome – this comes as New York struggles to accommodate asylum seekers looking for shelter.
