Chinese tourism to U.S. slow to return following pandemic

Before the coronavirus pandemic, China made up the fifth largest source of tourists visiting the United States, with over 2.8 million Chinese visitors coming to the U.S. in 2019 alone. The volume of Chinese visitors was hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic, and although most restrictions have been lifted, the rebound has been much slower than expected.

Economists say it’s a loss of billions to U.S. tourism revenue. Ediz Tiyansan reports from Los Angeles.
