The California-China Climate Institute is hosting a two-day high-level event in Berkeley, California to promote climate action.

It’s bringing together mayors and other local officials from various parts of China and the United States.

The gathering serves as one of the commitments established in the agreement that was signed between the two countries, when Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the United States last November during the APEC meeting.

The two-day event hosts a series of roundtable discussions on green energy transition, sustainability and development, as local and municipal leaders from various parts of China and the U.S. will share their experiences and know-how.
