Maui’s tourism returns one year after devastating wildfires

It’s been a year since the devastating fire that reduced the historic town of Lahaina on Maui to ashes, claiming over a hundred lives. Thousands of survivors not only lost their homes but also their means of livelihood. For many locals, already grappling with financial challenges before the fire, sustaining a living on the island has become increasingly difficult.
