Colombia Hosts COP16: Protecting Biodiversity in Fragile Ecosystems

Colombia, one of the most biodiverse countries, is hosting the United Nations Biodiversity Conference, COP16, in Cali this year. We begin in the Llanos, a vast tropical grassland east of the Colombian Andes. It floods for four months of the year and is temporarily transformed into wetlands. Correspondent Michelle Begue tells us about the area’s fragility and the work being done by sustainable ranchers.
