Bullfighting has been a part of Mexico’s culture for nearly five centuries despite several legal fights and accusations of animal cruelty. There are some 250 ranches where bulls are bred and raised for bullfighting. The National Association of Fighting Bull Breeders in Mexico says bullfighting creates some 80,000 direct jobs and 140,000 indirect jobs.
