World Today

The Slamdance film festival is being held for the first time in Los Angeles.

The event draws some of the most talented film makers from around the world, and this year’s selection includes a documentary style film called “Banr” from China.

Its world premiere was held in a Hollywood red carpet event, highlighting another milestone for the Chinese film industry this year, following the animation blockbuster “Ne Zha 2,” which broke several box office records in recent weeks.
