New questions are being raised after the recent death of a Haitian woman in U.S. immigration custody.
This includes the care the woman received while being detained by the government and whether she should have been detained at all.
Newly obtained documents by CGTN appear to confirm that Marie Ange Blaise, a 44-year-old Haitian woman who died at a Florida immigration detention center in April, had legal status in the U.S., including valid U.S. work authorization.
CGTN’s Nitza Soledad Perez has new information, suggesting she was in the country legally.
