Thousands of protesters took to the streets across the United States on Saturday in what organizers called “No Kings” demonstrations – nationwide rallies where demonstrators say they are fighting to protect their country and democracy.
The protests were timed to coincide with President Trump’s 79th birthday and a military parade in Washington celebrating the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary.
In South Florida, home to large immigrant communities, the focus was squarely on the Trump administration’s immigration policy.
