Among the sweeping cuts in U.S. President Donald Trump’s so-called “big, beautiful” spending bill; are substantial reductions to core safety-net programs for the poor and disabled. That includes the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as SNAP.

Commonly called ‘food stamps,’ this assistance is seen as a lifeline for families in need.
