Jody Jacobs

Jody Jacobs is a United Nations Correspondent based in New York City.

He has been a media specialist for over 15 years, working at various news outlets in South Africa and internationally. A South African citizen, Jody has covered stories across the African continent and the globe, and was one of the few South African journalists to gain access to Haiti following the devastating earthquake in 2010.

He has worked for the South African Broadcasting Corporation, TVC News in Nigeria, and South Africa’s first independent TV news channel, eNCA before covering the United Nations. He has held various positions in front and behind the camera throughout his career and is a passionate storyteller with a focus international affairs. He holds a National Diploma in Journalism from the Cape University of Technology.
