Joel Richards covers the Southern Cone region for CGTN America. He joined the channel in April 2013 and is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
After starting out as a sports reporter in Spain, he moved to Argentina in 2008. Joel has worked in print, radio and television reporting on politics, social issues, culture and sport. From across Europe, Africa and South America, he has covered a range of stories, from earthquakes, presidential elections and major international tournaments, to tango world championships.
He graduated from the University of Glasgow with a degree in Hispanic Studies.
