U.S. and Chinese military officials are holding two days of talks in Washington. The focus is a military security code of conduct regarding international waters and air space.

The talks happen after the U.S. says there was a “close encounter” between a Chinese jet and a U.S. Navy surveillance plane last week, in international air space over the South China Sea.
