Watch top Washington, D.C. trainer Corey Belin walk you through a 60-second, no-equipment-needed fitness assessment that you can do with your kids to help keep your family in shape.

“This is a great activity that a little one can do with the parent,” Belin said. “It’s going to test a couple things; full body, cardiovascular test. Also your upper body, your core, and your legs.”

“No matter how great of shape, or how poor shape, you’re in,” Belin said immediately after finishing the test, “If you’re doing it to the best of your ability, as fast and as hard as you can do it, you’ll be a little out of breath, like me!”

Belin also spoke to CCTV America’s Elaine Reyes about childhood obesity, which according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control has more than doubled in children over the past 30 years. In 2012, an estimated 21 percent of children and adolescents between 12 and 19 years old were obese.
