Summer officially begins on Sunday in the northern hemisphere. But, in the United States the wildfire season is not waiting for the calendar. Sparked largely by a drought in the west, several states are already battling fires. In Arizona, a 1,400 hectare brush fire, that was threatening a town of 2,000, has been contained.
