But now in Mexico there’s the Formula “E” series championship races where only fully-electric cars can compete.

But now in Mexico there's the Formula "E" series championship races where only fully-electric cars can compete.

The Formula E series is historic. It’s the world’s first championship with fully electric cars.

Formula E aims to become the world’s top research and development platform for electric cars. Already, race teams have developed improved technology that maintains battery temperatures under duress.

Support for electric car racing is coming from former Formula One champions.
