Trump thanks China's Xi for DPRK move

U.S. President Donald Trump thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping for what he said was a move by China’s central bank to stop its banks from trading with the DPRK.

During the meeting with Japan’s Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, on Thursday, Trump called it “a tremendous move”.

China is the DPRK’s main trading partner and conduit for international transactions.

Washington has been pushing China to scale back economic and financial ties to further isolate Pyongyang.
