The last match of Day 7 of the World Cup proved to be an exciting one. It was the end of the tournament for two teams who will not advance.

CGTN’s Dan Williams reports from Moscow on the results.

Day 7 of the World Cup saw three match-ups. Portugal won the first match of the day to advance, besting Morocco 1-0.

Team Uruguay defeated Saudi Arabia 1-0 in Group A play.

Spain and Iran played the final match of the day in Group B. Iran scored a goal in second half, which was disallowed for being offside. A final score of 1-0 saw Spain the winner.

Morocco and Saudi Arabia are officially out of the tournament but will play consolation matches on June 25. The tournament will continue with three matches on tap for Day 8: France vs. Peru, Australia vs. Denmark and Argentina vs. Croatia.
