A boy born with one hand who created his own prosthesis is now making artificial hands for others.
At age eight, the young man from Bolivia discovered mechanics by accident when he broke open a toy remote-control car. Since then, he’s been transfixed by technology and hasn’t looked back.
Born without a left hand due to a birth defect, the child prodigy displayed great skill fixing electrical devices and gadgets. Eventually he even designed and constructed his own mechanical hand.
Now, still at school, he is making prosthetic extremities for other people.
