On Monday, the first criminal trial of former film mogul Harvey Weinstein began in New York, where he faces charges of raping one woman in 2013 and performing a forcible sex act on a different woman in 2006.
He faces a possible life sentence if convicted on the most serious charge of felony predatory sexual assault.
CGTN spoke with some of the women outside of the courthouse to get their reaction to the trial, the #MeToo movement and what they hope the future will bring from this trial.
