A look at the Black family in the U.S.

World Today

February is Black History Month and we have a special series to run throughout the month.

It has been an eventful 12 months since last year’s events. A series of high-profile African American deaths at the hands of U.S. police has once again highlighted issues around systemic racism and social inequalities and underlined the need for further change.

This year, the theme for Black History Month 2021 is “The Black Family: Representation, Identity and Diversity,”   The focus looks at the Black family as a foundation of Black life and history.
