U.S. jobs report and inflation concerns

The U.S economy added 221,000 private sector jobs in November, less than half the number in some forecasts.

But some are shrugging off that underwhelming figure because other metrics suggest the U.S. economy is in good shape, despite soaring inflation and the threat of the COVID-19 Omicron variant.

It raises further questions about when the U.S. central bank will raise interest rates to try to stem price rises.
