This week marks the 50th anniversary of former U.S. President Richard Nixon’s historic visit to China, which laid the groundwork for normalizing relations between the two nations.

It was considered one of the boldest geopolitical moves of the 20th century that changed the course of history.

On Thursday, the Chinese Ambassador to the United States, Qin Gang, attended a commemoration event at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.
