Children are back in school in Peru after two years out of classrooms due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The country was one of the hardest-hit in the world by the coronavirus, and children were no exception.

Thousands lost parents or grandparents and despite innovative learning programs online and on television, many must catch up both academically and socially.
