Los Angeles participates in data collection for “Long COVID” initiative

COVID-19

The Biden administration announced last week that it was making lingering symptoms of COVID-19 a national priority.

Known simply as “Long COVID,” the condition is marked by extreme tiredness, shortness of breath, headache, and chest pain.

The White House wants to accelerate efforts to prevent, treat, and detect what appears to be one of the least understood and yet most feared outcomes of the coronavirus pandemic.

Los Angeles is one of the cities participating in the national data collection program.
