California proposes ban on gas fueled cars by 2035

Cars powered by fossil fuels will become a thing of the past, at least in the U.S. state of California, where the sale of passenger vehicles with internal combustion engines will be banned by 2035. 

The ambitious mandate by California Air Resources Board, aims to ramp up sales of electric vehicles in various stages, in an attempt to meet the state’s climate and clean energy goals, but not everyone supports the plan.
