U.S. updates new border measures amid increase in migration

According to U.S. government data, monthly encounters with migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border remains at near record-high levels not seen in over two decades.

A record number of migrants from Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua were processed last year by U.S. authorities.

In an effort to deter the migrant wave, this month, the U.S. adopted new border enforcement measures.
