Surrogacy has become more common around the world. Still, the practice, involving a woman who agrees to carry and give birth to another couple’s child, is not without controversy. There are cultural stigmas, as well as physical and financial risks to all involved. Regulation is viewed as the best way to protect all parties.  In Colombia, surrogacy has little to no regulation, but officials are looking to change that.
