Colombian remittance from U.S grows over a billion

Colombia receives Billions of US dollars from citizens living abroad who send money to relatives in the country. The number of remittances grew, and experts say this trend may only increase.

Between January and December of 2022, Colombia received $9.4 billion worth of remittances. These money transfers of families living abroad mostly came from Spain and the United States, says Colombia’s Central Bank.
