Global oil prices surge after OPEC announced output cut

Global oil prices surged on Monday after some of the world’s biggest producers agreed to further cut their supplies.

The Saudi Arabia-led OPEC cartel together with Russia made the coordinated announcement amid fresh turbulence in the global economy. Analysts say they want to lift prices back up after they soared and then dipped last year.
