Tropical forests are key to fight climate change and the loss of wild species.
Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva knows this and plans to reforest 12 million hectares – an area the size of Germany- by 2030, as it earlier promised under the 2015 Paris Agreement.
It is an achievable goal, as one NGO has proven in the country’s Atlantic Forest, one of Brazil’s most important biomes.
