China is strongly protesting Canadian threats to expel Chinese diplomats over allegations of intimidation and spying against a Canadian politician.

China’s foreign ministry has lodged a “stern representation” to Ottawa’s ambassador to China.

This follows similar representations Thursday to the Chinese ambassador to Canada over allegations from a conservative MP that he and his family were intimidated over his criticism of China’s domestic policies.
