Biden administration still striving for high targets to combat climate crisis

U.S. Climate Envoy John Kerry’s visit to China is taking place as President Biden touts ambitious targets for weaning Americans off fossil fuels.

Biden wants to completely overhaul infrastructure and manufacturing so that the U.S. – like China – can eventually power itself with no harmful emissions.

And the record-breaking temperatures baking large parts of the country are a reminder that the U.S. is in a race against climate change.
