APEC tries to build a more resilient global food system

It’s been more than two weeks since Russia pulled out of a deal allowing the safe export of Ukrainian grain across the Black Sea. The agreement was reached soon after the conflict in Ukraine began. Russia contends that key elements of the deal were not upheld.

It’s the kind of issue that those attending this week’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meetings in Seattle are grappling with as they try to build a more resilient global food system.
