Renaming Chinaman Canyon

It’s one of many scenic spots in the U.S. state of Colorado but its name is much less attractive in the minds of many of the state’s Asian-Pacific Americans: Chinaman Canyon.

They consider the name insulting to their community and have asked that it be changed.

It’s part a growing national push to rename geographical places whose names are deemed offensive.
