Latin America’s political scene this year has witnessed sharp polarization and violence. From the assassination attempt against Argentinian Vice President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner to the murder of Ecuadorian presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio some experts say political violence is on the rise. In Colombia, one organization is beginning to monitor gender-based political violence. CGTN’s Michelle Begue has more from Bogota.
