Out on the southernmost frontiers of the U.S. state of Louisiana, residents have been bearing the brunt of extreme weather events for decades.

But now, a water crisis is detrimentally impacting their crops.

Drought, and dangerously low water levels in the Mississippi River are putting peoples’ livelihoods at risk.
