The first week of the criminal trial against former U.S. President Donald Trump was dominated by hours of testimony from former publisher David Pecker. As owner of the tabloid The National Enquirer, Pecker admitted that he bought and buried stories from women who claimed to have had affairs with Trump as part of a deal to help Trump win the 2016 presidential election.
