Cuba’s government announced in early May that it will adopt a visa-free policy for Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports.

The move aims to benefit bilateral commercial and cooperation relations and is expected to boost the island’s tourist sector. Cuban officials estimate at least 3.5 million tourists this year.
