It’s called ‘Shrinkflation’ – and it’s a very real corporate practice designed to maximize profits, especially during times of high inflation.
Now with U.S. inflation subsiding, shrinkflation has become an election issue. US President Joe Biden even highlighted it in his State of the Union speech earlier this year.
