Monitored wildlife populations have suffered a catastrophic decline in the last 50 years, according to a new report by the World Wildlife Fund. And conservationists are warning that not enough is being done to implement a landmark biodiversity treaty as leaders prepare to assess its progress at the latest United Nations summit.
