Trump urges Supreme Court to pause possible TikTok ban

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump filed a legal brief on Friday, urging the Supreme Court to consider pausing a law that could see TikTok banned.

For months, TikTok’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance, has been fending off attempts by the U.S. government and lawmakers to shut down the popular social media app, arguing that its data and moderation operations are already based in the U.S. and that the app poses no national security risks.
