She comes to CGTN with over 15 years of experience in news production and digital content management. Poppie has extensive experience writing, editing, producing and on-camera hosting. She has a track record contributing to editorial teams that move fast to innovate and iterate, breaking barriers in storytelling and content development trends. Poppie is a proud global citizen, born and raised in London, her heritage is South African.

She lived and worked in Johannesburg, New York, Geneva and San Francisco, before landing in the U.S. capital to join CGTN America.

Poppie holds a Bachelor’s degree from Rhodes University in South Africa and a Master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
