Protecting natural resources on World Water Day

World Today

World Water Day is an annual United Nations observance held on March 22. It’s all about the sustainable management of freshwater resources. The theme for this year is the “preservation of glaciers,” which provide clean water to nearly two billion people around the world. Protecting those natural resources is closely tied to climate change, and as some experts point out, even the most developed regions of the world aren’t immune to water scarcity.
